Evelyn’s standard fee for a 50-minute individual session is $125, and $150 for a 60-minute couples session.  If you have health insurance with out-of-network coverage, a percentage of that fee can be reimbursed to you.  Typically, insurance companies reimburse at rates between 50 and 70% for out-of-network services.  It's likely that you have this coverage even if you didn't last year.  See the "Insurance: You have more than you think" page, then check with your human resources department or directly with the insurance company to ascertain the current out-of-network specifics of your policy.

The New York State legislature passed the Mental Health Parity Law in February, 2010.  This likely means increased in- and out-of-network coverage for you.

In cases of temporary financial distress, Evelyn is happy to discuss a mutually affordable reduction of her standard fee. She may require documentation of current circumstances before agreeing to lower the session cost.
